Business Event Stack went live on 18 September 2026. Since then we have shipped improvements every few days, each one written up in plain words on the Releases page in the back office. This is a summary of the first fortnight, up to 1 October, grouped by what it means for you.
Day one: go-live (18 September)
- Checked before launch. We had the system reviewed for security before anyone signed up, and closed the gaps it found.
- A new region sets itself up. Adding a region's own web address now sorts out the address and its security certificate for you, with a clear status and a retry button if something needs another go.
- Emails in the region's own colours. Sign-up codes, password resets and a note when you change your password all arrive branded for your region.
An easier back office for the network team (22 September)
- Problems are logged for us to fix. If something goes wrong on a page, it is recorded with enough detail for us to put it right.
- A list of what has changed, so you can see each improvement as it lands.
- Add an organisation or venue for someone, then hand it over by inviting the person who runs it to take charge.
- Add lots at once from a spreadsheet, with a preview first. Anything already on the network is skipped, never duplicated.
Every region gets its own icon (30 September)
The little icon in the browser tab, on a phone's home screen and on the installed app now uses each region's own letter mark and colours. Before, every region borrowed the first region's icon.
Add a season of events in one go (30 September)
Organisers and region teams can add events from a spreadsheet, with a preview first. A date that is already listed is skipped, so the same file can be used again safely. We also fixed times from spreadsheets coming in an hour early during British Summer Time; they are now read as UK time.
Show the region's events on other websites (30 September to 1 October)
A region's own team can now put the region's listings onto other websites, such as a chamber's or a business park's, styled to match each one. The events still only need to be entered once, in Studio. The network team can do the same for every region at once. We also fixed maps that were sometimes showing blank or missing their pins.
Run any event, see who's coming (1 October)
- The network team can open and edit any event, choose which organisation runs it and which regions an organisation appears in.
- A clear guest list for every event, with search, filters and sorting. Organisers can remove a place or refund a ticket from it.
- Member details can be updated by the network team, including taking someone off updates when they ask.
What came next is in the October update.
