About Royal Maritime Hotel

A charity-run hotel and club (formerly known as the Royal Maritime Club) on Queen Street in Portsea, a few minutes from Portsmouth Harbour station, with a 400-standing ballroom plus several smaller meeting rooms and a bar and restaurant. Shaping Portsmouth held its Business Leaders Forum networking here in April 2026.

Finding the door

Main entrance on Queen Street: automatic doors (156cm wide); a side ramp avoids the five steps from the car park

About 20 free bays at the front and side, first come first served (accessible bay about 13m from the entrance). On-street permits can be bought at reception. Otherwise use council car parks such as The Harbour car park on Havant Street (RingGo 1381).

Portsmouth Harbour station and The Hard Interchange (buses, coaches, Gosport and Isle of Wight ferries) are about 5 minutes' walk; Portsmouth & Southsea station about 15 minutes. By car: M27 J12, then M275 towards Queen Street; the hotel is at the end of Queen Street on the left.
