A medieval and Tudor house museum in Southampton's Old Town that hires rooms for meetings, workshops, talks and small receptions of 10 to 60. The Georgian Room seats 35 in rows, the oak-panelled Banqueting Hall takes 40 standing, the Education Room suits training for up to 35, and the walled garden holds 60 for summer drinks.

About a mile from Southampton Central (museum's figure); a £1 bus runs from outside platform 4 to Town Quay, then walk up Bugle Street. Holyrood Church stops on the High Street are 2–3 minutes away.

Inside

Access: Limited wheelchair access: small platform lifts (1.1 m x 0.8 m, not for larger scooters) to the upper floor; basement, attic and King John's Palace are by steep steps only. Accessible toilets through the café and by the Work Room. Call ahead to check the lifts.
