Private and members-only events
Some meetings are only for members, but it still helps to have them on the calendar. Mark an event private and it is listed and clearly labelled, while the booking buttons stay away.
What you can do
List a closed meeting so it shows on the calendar, clearly marked Private, without anyone booking it.
- Show the event on the calendar, map and list, marked Private
- Stop it being booked through the site
- Set it on the event form or in an import file
- Let visitors choose whether to see private events
- Leave private events out of a calendar subscription
How it works
Private and members-only events, step by step.
- Step 1
Tick Private
On the event form, mark it as private or members-only.
- Step 2
Publish as normal
It goes through the same approval as any event.
- Step 3
It shows, clearly labelled
Visitors see it is private and that it cannot be booked here.

Keep an event visible but ask people to request a place. Approve with a place or a ticket to pay for, or decline politely.
MoreMemberships and fees
A region decides who pays, if anyone: memberships, a fee on tickets and hire, paid feeds, or none of it.
MoreEvent listings and repeating series
List a one-off event or a whole series: weekly, fortnightly or monthly, up to 52 dates in one go.

Want to see it with your own listings?
We can walk you through it in Studio and show how it would work for your region. Which features are on, and who pays for what if anyone, is set for each region.
